I’m Rickland Young, the photographer and filmmaker behind Atlantic Mountain Media.

Based in Charlotte, I work with couples, businesses, and event hosts who want polished imagery without the experience feeling stiff or overly complicated.

My approach is a mix of preparation, natural storytelling, and knowing when to step in with direction and when to let the moment happen on its own. Whether I’m documenting a wedding, covering a corporate event, or creating imagery for a brand, I want the final work to feel intentional, genuine, and true to the people in front of the camera.

For me, great photography and film are about more than creating something that looks good. It’s about preserving the energy, personalities, and moments that made the experience worth remembering in the first place.
