I'm Rickland, a 36-year-old country boy from Anderson, South Carolina, now proud to call Charlotte, North Carolina home. After more than a decade in telecommunications, I traded wires and schedules for cameras and creativity. What started as a personal curiosity quickly became a full-time calling — and I haven’t looked back since.

In 2017, I officially founded Studio 1216 LLC, which has since grown into what is now Atlantic Mountain Media. Over the years, we’ve served more than 1,100 clients, traveled across 3 countries, and helped numerous businesses strengthen their visibility both internally and externally through professional media. Every project has been an opportunity to tell a story, support a brand, and capture lasting moments with purpose and precision.

Photography and videography have allowed me to build a business rooted in real connections — whether that’s working with couples on their wedding day, helping businesses elevate their brand presence, or capturing the energy of a live event. Like Andy Warhol once said, “The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.” That simple truth continues to guide my work behind the lens.

When I’m not on set, you’ll find me spending time with my kids, enjoying a good beer, or sneaking in a well-earned nap. My approach remains simple: keep things real, focus on what matters, and deliver media that lasts long after the moment has passed.
